Warning!
In previous Vulcan.NET builds, the algorithm used to create DBFCDX indexes on
DATE fields was incompatible to that of VO, causing unexpected behavior when
sharing such an index file between a Vulcan.NET and a VO application. This
incompatibility problem has been fixed in build 205, but this change will
require you to rebuild any such index files, that your applications might
be using. Failing to do so, will cause unexpected runtime behavior.

file in Visual Studio and open the file (right click and choose edit).
This will open the project file in an XML editor. Look for references to mscorlib.
There should only be one reference to it. When you find more than one reference you should remove the extraneous entries.

Please note that some of the standard assemblies (such as the Macro compiler,
DBFCDX and GUI classes) will only run on X86. If you are not using any of these,
then you may use this option to mark your assembly as platform independant for
example.
- Fixed several issues with the VS Forms Editor [865, 887, 935]
- Fixed an issue where an error occurred when closing the VS IDE when a 'dirty'
form window open [943]
Version 2.0.203 - June, 2010
- The Vulcan.NET compiler now supports multi targeting. A new compiler switch
has been added /clr:2 or /clr:4 which controls the target CLR version to compile
for.
- When the Framework Target is changed inside Visual Studio, the project file is now
unloaded and reloaded and the references are adjusted to point to the correct framework
version
- Double clicking in the error list now properly opens the source file in VS.
- The compiler now also can generate XML documentation files. You can use the /doc
command line option for this.
- The project system has been updated to handle the new compiler switches.
- The native resource compiler task now addes DEBUG (NDEBUG) and CLR2/CLR4 defines
from the command line. You can use these to conditionally compile certain native
resources.
- Synchronized the complete source code with Vulcan 1, build 161
- The installer now installs runtime assemblies and redistributable assemblies for
both CLR 2.0 and CLR 4.0. The assemblies for CLR2 have a version number that looks
like 1.1.. and the CLR4 assemblies have a version
number 2.0... For this build this is 1.1.203.0 and 2.0.203.0. There
are also redistributable installation files for both versions.
- The installer now comes with a new Help file in the new Help 3 format.
- The redistributable installation files (MSI and MSM) are no longer removed when
the product is removed or a new version is installed.
Version 2.0.202 - February, 2010
- Changed the security settings for the Vulcan runtime assemblies to work around a
problem with DotNet Framework 4.
- Fixed a problem in the compiler where enum types were not prefixed with the default
namespace
Version 2.0.201 - February, 2010
This version of Vulcan.NET will work with Visual Studio 2010 - RC (and not with
Beta 2).
All features not listed below should be working with this build. Also some of the
issues that existed in Vulcan 1 builds with drag/drop or copy/paste in a VS project
system should be fixed.
Known issues:
- Transporter does not create VS2010 compatible projects yet.
- WPF projects are not completely working yet. The designer should open and event
handlers can be added, but there is an error when building a WPF project.
- There are some issues in the Language service (when editing inside Visual Studio)
when resolving type information.
- If you open an old Vulcan.NET project file (from VS2008 or VS 2010) it will
be converted to the newer VS2010 format. Sometimes building the project inside VS10
will not work the first time. Unload and Reload the project to fix this.
- If you switch the target framework of an application inside Visual Studio you may
have to unload and reload a project to properly resolve the project references.
- There is no documentation yet.
- The setup only contains Vulcan runtime assemblies that have been compiled against
Framework 4. So when you switch the target of your application, your app will still
have a reference to Framework 4.Version
2.0.200 - December, 2009
This is the first version of Vulcan.NET for Visual Studio 2010. Please note that
it only works with Visual Studio 2010 - Beta 2
What is working in this first build:
- The compiler
- The VS 2010 project system recognizes .vnproj files
Known Issues
- The Language service is not working yet. That means no intellisense and no keyword
coloring.
- References are not properly resolved in the solution explorer after loading
a vnproj file. The assemplypath property is therefore empty and a yellow exclamation
sign is show.
- The VO compatible editors are not working
- The Forms editor is not working completely
- The WPF form editor is not working
